Bike Ribbon Eleganza bar tape changing colors?
Title says it all. I purchased some white-on-white Bike Ribbon Eleganza bar tape (https://www.bikeribbon.com/UK/Bar-Tape-Eleganza.php) a few weeks ago, have yet to install it, but the tape's somehow slowly acquiring a pinkish hue:
Trust me, I haven't dipped it in the cherry Kool-Aid. In fact, it's in the same box, and as far as I can tell, appears to be some sort of chemical reaction that initiated when I took it out of the box. I plan on attempting to exchange it, but am curious as to what could have potentially triggered this? As far as I can tell, the original packaging isn't hermetically sealed, and given the nature of bar tape, I'm a bit confused on how this process has occurred.
Any ideas?

I contacted Bike Ribbon via email last night, and got a response - on a Saturday morning, no less. In short, they're sending me new tape free of charge, so I'm a happy camper.
That said, I'm still curious as to what could've possibly happened. I remember doing test wrap, okay, a vanity wrap, around some heated-treated Nitto rb-018's, but I didn't actually apply it. Just wrapped it around a few times to see what it would look like. I'm thinking this might have set it off somehow.

Wrapping the bars shouldn't have made a difference. Maybe it was just a bad batch of tape. Could be something in the adhesive seeping through.
