clean and lube v-brake pivots?
forgive me if I don't know what I'm talking about, but anyway I have these Tektro MT15 v-brakes, and I've taken them off and it seems to me that they don't actually pivot on the studs that stick out of the fork, but the pivot is actually inside the brake itself (and that's where the adjustment screw does what it does) I have one that seems to have some grit stuck in it and I'm trying to figure if and how I should get in there to clean it out and apply some grease to it
thanks in advance for any advice |
I'm not familiar with that make but if they are like all the others. If you already have the arms off you should be able to pull the spring and plastic centre piece out from the back.Should just pop out.
