CrankArm spacing between stays & crankarm

I just slapped on a old pair of Dra Ace 175mm cranks and they barely clear the stays. What is the min clearance and do I just need to geta longer BB?

Minimum clearance is they don't hit. ;-)

You might want to measure the chainline though, as explained at:

http://sheldonbrown.com/chainline (once my hosting company, Netcetra, gets back on line...they've been down all day! :-(
