    Super Record Crankset

    Hello Folks.
My bike is currently set up with a Daytona 10 speeds double crankset 39/53 and Italian thread BB. I've found a NOS Super Record double crankset 42/52. Can I use this crankset on the bike?
Do I have to swap out the BB in order to use this crankset?
    Thanks
    Andrew

The old SR crankset you wan to use requires a 115.5mm spindle on the BB. Not sure what you're running (might be 111mm). The SR also will have a 144BCD so your narrower 10s chainrings won't fit, if you're running a complete 10s drivetrain and care avout that.

I ran 8 speed cassettes with my Super Record. It's worth a try to see if it works with 10. While you're at it, try the crankarm and see if they work. They probably won't though. I think that the chainrings will be too close to the chainstays. They've got some 10 speed Chorus/Record cranks at Nashbar real cheap, if you have to go that route.
