upgrade from 9-10 Speed Shimano

I just want to be sure even though I have read the info on shimano's website if you upgrade to Shimano D/A 10 speed from 9 speed do you need to change the rear hub, front derailleur and rear derailleur.
Will these 9 seped components work with the STI 10 speed shifters?

Also second question I have been looking @ the Sram Red components as well for an upgrade is it any more complex than the D/A products on setting up an installing?

You don't have to change the hub or the rear derailleur. Shimano's 9-speed hubs all accept 10-speed cassettes using the 1 mm spacer provided with the cassette.

The 9-speed rd will also work just fine. The 9-speed fd is slightly more problematic but will probably also work well.

All you really need are the brifter, the cassette and a 10-speed chain.
