GT I-Drive 5 broken Derailleur Hanger

GT I-Drive 5 broken Derailleur Hanger

Hi

some 2 weeks i have bought GT I Drive 5 which is a wonderful bike.

some 2 days ago, on a calm climb, some fence wire has entered the rims and the
dérailleur Hanger was broken instantly.

is it advise to replace the hanger with a CNC machined one? (like the one from pilo)
I suspect that the original hanger (casting) is too wick...

The normal stresses on a derailleur hanger can be handled by either a cast or CNC'd part.

Don't be all that impressed with CNC. The machines can do amazing things, but the parts are not necessarily stronger than their cast counterparts.
