Hydralic Compatability

Will there be any issues if I use Avid Hydraulic Levers with Shimano Hydraulic calipers?

The main compatibility issue is that avid is a dot fluid system and shimano is a mineral oil solution. The rubber componds for the seals are different for each. Avids seals will double or more in size if dropped in mineral oil for a day. So no not compatible. Most manufacturers have a specific volume in there master cylinders (brake levers) and the calipers and how much they push.
