front derailleur problem

I知 having a shifting problem with my front derailleur. When I知 riding the bike, the chain doesn稚 always make it to the outer chain ring. When the bike is upside down and I知 shifting and spinning the pedals, the chain skips the middle chainring altogether then goes to the outer ring. What would you adjust in my situation?

Go to Park Tool and start from the very beginning with the shift cable disconnected from the derailleur.

+1. You could spend 10 hours trying individual adjustments, but this works every time.

Got it - thanks. I don't know what bicycle mechanics make but whatever it is it's not enough.
