Help with a squeaky brooks saddle?

Help with a squeaky brooks saddle?
Ok, so not really a "mechanical" question, but i recently bought a brooks B17 (and love it so far), but it has begun to squeak. this happens with any slight rise and fall in the saddle and appears to be coming from the rails/harness the seat attaches to. I am tempted to try and tighten the nose bolt a bit, but after reading Sheldon Browns cautions about adjusting the saddle tension i am looking for some other alternatives.
anyone have a similar problem that they have found a solution to? i was going to give some of the metal joints a quick shot of WD-40 and see if that helps but wanted to solicit some sage advise first.

It's what's for breakfast.
I'd take the saddle off the bike and off the rails, wipe everything down really well with a rag (and rubbing alcohol, if you're bored), and then put a finger-wipe's worth of grease at the intersecting points.

Of course it squeaks, it's British.

Leave the saddle on the seat-post and just remove the seat post ( with saddle attached) from the frame. Get an old can of good old "3 in 1 " oil ,and judiciously(fancy word for "sparingly")drip the oil on all the underlying intersecting leather/frame areas and saddle screw area.. once a month or so... and no more B17 saddle sqeaks(grease probably works too,but oil penetrates to cause of the squeak quicker and better ( p.s. this works, but doesn"t replace the "Brooks proofide on the anterior saddle or the periodic tightening of the saddle frame screw,only a quarter or half turn at each time(a few times a year..no more)
