Older Ksyrium Wheel - What cassette will this take?

I bought this wheel off of Craigslist, it is an older Mavic Ksyrium. I had to replace on of the pawls, and when I talked to the guys at Mavic USA, they said it was a 1st generation wheel bassed on the freehub type. I have tried mounting 10 speed Campy and Shimano cassettes on it, but neither will fit. The guy I bought it from said it was off of a used 1999 Colnago Masterlight. Anyone have any ideas (sorry for the poor picture)? I thought that Shimano 8/9/10 splines were the same between the cassettes, and figured that the Ultegra ten would work fine, but it was no dice - the spacing of the freehub body was significantly different then those of the cassette.
