convert 9spd STi to 10spd ?
is it possible to convert 9 speed Sti levers to 10 speed by changing rachet and other internal parts ? in other words if I had a 9spd Ultegra RH lever which I wanted to convert to 10 speed could I buy replacement 10 speed rachet and parts to fit ?

Note that the Shimano 10-speed STI brifters are MUCH improved over the 9-speed ones, the number of speeds is not the only, nor even the most important difference. In fact, I recommend the 10-speed version even for 9-speed applications, due to the improved ergonomics of the 10-speed brifters.

thanks Sheldon. If you can't do it I know it can't be done .
Shame . There are a lot of cheap Dura ace 9 speed STi levers around at the moment. I thought it might be a cheap way to upgrade to 10 speed
