Tension for Velocity rim
What's the recommended spoke tension for Velocity Dyad rim? I'm building rear wheel, and can't find this info. My e-mail to Velocity has gone unanswered so far.

Suggest you e-mail or call Peter White - www.peterwhitecycles.com. He builds with these rims. I have a set laced to Phil Wood hubs that he built up for me. Best wheels I've ever had. I think you will be very happy.

I got this from Velocity on my recent Aerohead O/C build.
"We build all of our wheels at the same spoke tension. Spoke tension is
measured in Kilograms of Force (KGF). We build the front wheel between 105 -
115 KGF, and the rear between 110 - 120 KGF. I hope this helps, let me know
if you have any further questions."

Making a kilometer blurry

Those dyads can probably go further than your courage is going to take you.

Yeah, that's what I got too. The Aerohead doesn't like the high tension like the Deep-V. Should be obvious, but I had it go all hula-dance on me with 115kgf on the rear. Backed it down to 107 and all is good.

I posed a question along these lines to Velocity last spring, specifically about the 48-spoke count Dyad rims. Here is the reply I got:

This is all I have,
Velocity Synergy, 700c, 36 spoke count,
Drive side = 107kg-1050 Newtons- 236 Pounds
Front = 97kg- 950 Newtons- 213 Pounds
The 48 Dyad is not going to be much different from this one.

If you need more information, I suggest emailing Velocity (I believe they're in Australia, so give them a half a day to a day to reply).This is all I have,

Thanks for all the answers - I'll assume 105 kgf for the drive side. I actually e-mailed them on Monday, not sure why they take so long to answer. Thanks again.
