Different Size Threads on Crank Pullers?
Searched the forum and didn't see this question. I just bought a basic tool kit from Performance Bike to begin doing some of my own maintenance. Tried to use the crank puller to remove my SR Suntour cranks from my Schwinn Voyager. The crank puller will not thread on to the cranks. It screws on to every other bike in the garage, but not this Schwinn bike. Is it possilble that there is a different size crank puller that I need to buy? (I think I have a crank puller with 22 x 1 threads).

We have not made that CCP-1 for years now. The two threads are not the
same. The larger size is for the french TA sized, 23mm, thread. The new
tools are better.

23.35 mm pre-82 Stronglight. There is a specific Viscount/Lambert size also.
All SR Suntour cranks are 22 mm, check for thread damage.

Thanks for the info. The diameter of the threads is actually too small - so the 22 won't even screw in. I'll go back and double check the threads to see if the starting threads on the crank need to be filed down a little. Thanks again for the info. Just starting in my bike maintenance journey and I see I still have much to learn.
