when i pedal my cranks are like slipping
whenever i mash it coming off of a stop light, or pull up to skid, my right foot will slam to the bottom (or top) without influencing the spin of the wheel.
theres nothing apparently wrong with the chain ring, the chain, the cranks and the bottom bracket does not appear to be broken. its craaaazy.
any ideas?

Pull up to skid? If you're riding fixed (which is what I'm guessing), have you checked to make sure that cog and lockring are nice and tight? Maybe the trouble's in the back...

You should definitely stop riding, and take off the lockring/cog.
Put some grease on the threads, and rotafix the feces out of the cog if the threads are intact.
Then ride the bike really fast up a steep hill with a spanner in your pocket.
When you get to the top, don't slow down, just coast. then tighten the lockring till your arms are sore.

i jam my thumbs up and back into the tubes. this way i can point my fingers straight out in front to split the wind and attain an even more aero profile, and the usual fixed gear - zen - connectedness feeling through the drivetrain is multiplied ten fold because my thumbs become one with the tubing.

this happened to me two weeks ago... the symptoms had been the same as tenminutes, then one day it just wouldn't go anymore...
how could you actually avoid breaking the rear freehub (or whatever it's called - sry eng not my mothertongue) ?
I've been riding during wintertime and I have been riding in place where I shouldn't have with my bike... can this lead to so much damage on the rear freehub (and I guess, screw the sealed cartridge there as well) ?
