Front brake for a non-recessed fork?
I picked up one of those cheap Target bikes to convert to a fixie. I'm shopping for a front brake but I noticed that the fork on the Target bike is drilled but not recessed- it has one hole on the front and one hole on the back. Can I convert a regular road brake to fit this fork?

Easier to convert the fork. Drill the rear face (only the rear face) of the fork crown out to 5/16" and that will allow the standard recessed nut to fit.
