Noisy derailleur

when i'm on my middle front ring and smaller cogs in back my front derailleur rubs on the chain. do i just have to tighten/loosen some bolts or do i have to take it in to a bike shop to see what's going on???

I'd go to a bike shop. It could be various things, from cable tension to front derailer position to a shifter issue

Counter clockwise on the cable tension adjuster one or two clicks at a time (1/2 turn) until it doesn't rub anymore. You cable has stretched a little.
