BB spinning resistance problem ?
I'm building a bike from the ground up and I installed Ultegra HollowTech II BB cups and an Ultegra 6600 crankset. I tried spinning the cranks afterwards and after 2-4 rotations the cranks would stop. On another bike with a cartridge BB square taper, I spun the cranks and they spun many many revolutions until the cranks stopped.
Is this right or did I botch the ultegra BB/crankset install ?

by my experience that is normal. i installed an xt external bearing bb in a bike just recently and the owner said the same thing you are. that resistance goes away with time and the grease works in and the seals wear down a bit

Very normal. Not gonna spin as freely as say an Octalink 6500 model. No worries, ride on.

Is there any binding, or grinding sound or feeling when you turn the spindle? Is there any play in the spindle, does it move side to side or up and down? Those are problems, yours sound normal.
