Replacing Ultegra Shifter Cables
I am trying to replace the cables on the Felt F3C that I am currently building. Although I am new to this, I figure that it is the best way to learn about the working of my bike. (Keyword: Trying) The brake/shifters are Shimano Ultegra 6600. The left lever was not a problem. The problem lies with the right side lever. The brake cable is pretty self explanatory but the dérailleur cable seems to be hiding from me. I can see that it wraps around to the inside of the lever but I can't seem to find where it terminates. Do I have to take this thing apart? The Shimano tech site show an exploded view of the lever, but does not make it clear to me. Anyone have experience with this? Also, for any Felt owners...Is there a guide plate that rests in the bottom bracket housing that guides the cables routing to the rear dérailleur? Advice or pictures will be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Jon

1. Cycle the small lever on your shifter a bunch of times. It has to be in the smallest cog position before the shift cable will come out.
2. Pull the brake lever.
3. Push on the cable while you have the lever pulled. The cable end will push right out.
