moustache bars for Cannondale Bad Boy or similar?
I'm considering purchasing a Cannondale Bad Boy 8, Trek Soho 4.0 or similar (hybrid with alfine setup) but don't want flat bars. I like the nitto moustache bars but don't believe they will work on these bikes due to their size vs. size needed for the shifters/brakes and stem. Has anyone seen a moustache bar that fits the afline components?

Moustache bars usually come with a 25.4mm clamp diameter, and are to be used with road brake levers. If you want bar-mounted shifters, use bar-end shifters.

That's the catch. Bar end shifts (except with the hub bub adapter - which i don't like) don't work with the afline setup. I think I need a moustache bar that is mtb size to take the alfine shifters.

Bikes: 2006 Windsor Dover w/105, 2007 GT Avalanche w/XT, 1995 Trek 820 setup for touring, 201? Yeah single-speed folder, 199? Huffy tandem.

Maybe check out the Nitto Dove or Albatross (Al. or Cr-Mo) bars. All have 25.4mm clamp and 22.2mm (flat-bar/MTB standard) bar diameter. I've used the Dove bars and they look pretty similar to the Albatross but they're cheaper and don't accept bar-ends. They don't have the same feel as moustache bars.

Assuming Alfine is mtb clamp size, I believe Nashbar is selling a steel moustache with mtb clamp diameters. But I could be mistaken. As stated above, there are Nitto bars with semi-moustache profiles built with mtb diameters. Be careful, though, as I suspect the actual "Moustache" is the only one that is comfortable to ride and clamp brake levers on the curve.
On one makes a couple wide-profile drops that might answer, like the Midge.

Good suggestions. I found the midge and like that one. Also led me to the Pompino frame and has me thinking I might be able to build a set up around that and the midge bars. thanks!
