Which gear and chain lube?
Any recommedations? Ideally one that I can use for summer and winter riding and that's easy to apply ?

i jam my thumbs up and back into the tubes. this way i can point my fingers straight out in front to split the wind and attain an even more aero profile, and the usual fixed gear - zen - connectedness feeling through the drivetrain is multiplied ten fold because my thumbs become one with the tubing.

I use White Lightning. I don't know if it's the best, but i've been using it for a decade and it doesn't stain and smear, unlike oil-type lubes. You do have to remember to apply it the night before a ride though, or you'll be squeaking along like an idiot.

Best lube I have found is Kentucky (KY) Jelly.
