Campagnolo Warranty

Does anyone have experience with Campy Warranty Service. My front Centaur CT derailleur broke on my last ride. The cage broke, where the inner side bends to the flat top, just cleanly sheared at the 90 degree bend. The cage is an integral part of the derailleur and does not look to me to be replaceable. Any way, it is less than three years old (2006 model) so I am hoping to get it replaced via warranty. The warranty says to contact a service center in your country, and there are several listed for the USA. I'm wondering what folks experience has been with any of them. Thanks.

HI... I'm trying to warranty some stuff from campy. Since u are in alaska probably the nearest service center is the one in carlsbad, california.

If you cal them they will ask you to contact your LBS and then have them to call campy to work out something. These happen in some accident or something? if thats the cae campy wont replace it ever, may be fix it.

Thanks

I had one break in the same spot, mail ordered from PBK. I should contact them and see what they say. Thanks for reminding me, I had just replaced it with another.

It didn't happen in an accident, it just broke as I was shifting from the big to the small ring. I might check with GVH Bikes, where I bought the group a couple years ago. Otherwise, I guess I'll contact one of the service centers and see what they say.

warrantees do not cover accidents my friend. U sell a car and the buyer crash it agains a wall after 10 minutes he took the car off you house, then he tells you he wants his money back because the car does not work no more. Would you give his money back??? I really doubt it.

I meant... campangolo policies do not cover broken stuff due to accidents. If it is a fabrication problem they have no issues replicing or getting the stuff fix but if the problem clearly is because the rider got an accident and the rd broke in two parts for example, Campy wont autorize a single change, in simple words... U r toasted... go and get a new one.

Second thing... I read wrong hehehe

Campy likes to work through dealers, so they will likely tell you to contact GVH. They have a reputation as a stand up place, so you should be ok.
