Brake pads for a carbon wheel

Can I use a regular brake pad on a older zipp 440 wheel ?
Thanks for any help

Only if the braking surface is aluminum. If braking surface is carbon, it would be a bad idea.
Brake pads are cheap compared with CF wheels. Check the Zipp website for the preferred
pads (cork is popular).
