Shimano 10-speed crankset with 9-speed drivetrain?

I have the option of getting a new 105 triple crankset (with stock Shimano chainrings) for cheap. My drivetrain is currently nine speed.

Would there be any compatibility/non-optimal issues in using a 10-speed crankset with a nine speed chain, etc?
