Campy Cassettes - mix and matching cogs

I have three Campy cassettes - a record, chorus and I think Daytona. They are all different 12-25, 11-23 and 13-26. My question - is it possible to mix and match and swap cogs from one cluster to the next and still have good shifting?

I really want a 11-26 combo. Can I take my record cassette and at least acheive a 11-25 by swapping the 12 cog that exists for the 11 cog from the chorus cluster? Then can I swap the 25/26 from the Daytona cluster to achieve the desired 11-26?

As an aside, how else could I achieve an 11-26 campy cluster? Hell, I would even take an 11-27 with the massive hills we have.

Guy

bump...

I've got 11-23, 11-25 and 13-29 Campy Record 10 speed cassettes. Like the OP, I'd like to mix and match and come up with an 11-29 or 12-29. Is this possible?

As long as they're all 10 speed, you should be fine.

If you've already got the cassettes, just try it and see. It's not like you have anything to lose except 15 minutes of your time.

If you use the 11 you'll need to use the special lockring for the 11.
If it was me I'd just switch cassettes to match the next ride. That way you'd keep the ratios closer and avoid big jumps in cadence.
