Shimano Nexus 3 spd - Shifter Options?

Does anyone know of any options for a Shimano Nexus 3 speed shifter besides the standard revo shifter? I would like to avoid a gripshifter if possible. Maybe something along the lines of an old sturmey archer shifter? (http://aebike.com/page.cfm?action=de...=30&SKU=LD2205)

Anyway, just let me know if anyone has any ideas.

the spacing is different (amount of cable pulled) between the shimano nexus and the old sturmey archer shifters

I want to replace my twist shifter/brake lever for a thumb/trigger model. edit: This is on my Breezer Freedom.

Need an experienced hand to steer me in the right direction.

You might be able to make an old friction thumbshifter or bar-end shifter work.
