8 sp. casette, 10 sp. RD

Ok, i have a roadie with SORA 8 sp. brifters, and an 8 sp. rear casette. i can get a great deal on an ultegra 10 sp. RD.

Since the indexing is done with the shifter, i should have no problem changing just the RD, correct?
