Shimano chain pin ughhh...

Brand new Dura ace chain. New pin doesn't go in well so I send it through and try again. Chain breaks at pin location under stress on first ride with pin #2. Same with pin #3.

Is the hole too stretched now? What can I do? Would a Sach's Powerlink work or should I cut another link off my carefully measured chain?

Thanks!

Once you push the replacement pin all the way thru, the link is toast.
Sram, says the ninespeed link is only for Sram chains. I think they lie, I have used them with no problem. Just make sure it is the ninespeed link.

Great, thanks. If I go with the Powerlink, can I still use the stretched link or should I cut it off?

Remove the damaged link(outerplates) the quicklink will replace this, so the chain should be the same length.
