Rock Shox Replacement
I had my bike stolen and was given a very nice Balance Mountain Bike. However, the front fork bottoms out as soon as I get on it. I wrote to the manufacturer and was told parts are no longer available. I would like to replace the fork with either another shock fork or just a fixed static one. Anyone have suggestions as to what to get. I will ride mostly for the commute in the Portland area and not much if any off roading.
Thanks

If you're just commuting onpathways and streets, a ridgid fork would probably do fine.

Yeah I second that. The price of forks seem excessive for roads/gentle offroad.
Go for rigid fork and save some $

fork replacement
Can you guys recommend a rigid replacement fork for the Rock Shox? What is on here now is the Quadra 21R.
Thanks,

You do not have to go rockshox that is just a brand, the steering tube would make the only difference on fork you select. I'm assuming it is 1 1/8" inch.
Webcyclery carries quite a few that would fit your needs.
