Campy Ft Der help

Does anyone know if Campy is making a 28.6mm adaptor or an actual ft der in 28.6?

My LBS had a shim that was close enough that I was able to modify it to fit. Had to file the inside of the plastic and aluminum to make it fit. That was the 7th shop I tried. One told me they use shims made from soda cans!! A little too ghetto for a Campy equipped bike, in my opinion.

Campy's web site doesn't list any clamp-on fd's in 28.6 mm and I couldn't find any adapters for braze-on fd's listed there either. Their '07 paper catalog mentions the adapter but doesn't list the sizes it's available in. A call to Campy-USA (760-931-0106) in Carlsbad, CA should provide better info.

Nashbar sells a braze-on adapter clamp in 28.6 and it's only $4 but I'm not sure it will hold a Campy fd in the proper orientation. For $4 it's worth a try. Look here:
