upgrade

Ok, in a few weeks i should be receiving a lot of 105 grear that I'm going to put on my bike. The front Der. and teh shifter are goign to be swaped with the 105, i think I'll need new cables, houseing and should I get a new chain (i might upgrade that crankset too). All the parts on my bike have over 1K miles on them.

thanks
-Ross

Measure the chain. That's how you tell if it's worn.Mileage means nothing, If you are putting on a new cassette and crankset,it's probably a good idea.Chains are cheap.Other stuff isn't.

Before buying cables and cable housing, check to see if your new shifters come with cables & housing. When I purchased new Shimano shifters last year, they came with the needed cables and housing (packaged in the original Shimano shifter box).
