Peddless bicycle?

What is a peddless bicycle? I saw no bikes for that under google, I came up with a neat bike idea, a bike that needs no chain or peddles, just steering and wheels and seat and so on, I'm not gonna release the idea yet, i wanna build one first to be sure it works. A bike is art!

My bike was able to run without pedals when the front derailleur bolt fell off....(walk it up hill, paddlefoot on level ground and coast downhill).

In any case, a bike can only create motion from other energy (whether it's mechanical, electric or kinetic). It sounds like the cyclist's body motion does it....

Rowbike

There are several variations of step cycles....

There's even an off-road version

I like this one: Dog-powered scooter

There was a two wheeled scooter sort of deal with an eccentric back wheel that you sort of bobbled on to sort of pedal it.

It won't just go. There's got to be a way of inducing energy into it. If not an engine or motor then some muscular energy from the rider. And since a few of those have been done over the years it's likely that you've been beaten to the draw. It may well be that it's original to YOU but already done. Only a patent office can determine that.

Try searching for "bike no pedals". I got this right away: https://www.bootscootbikes.com/products.php . If you wanted an adult-size version, it would be easy enough to buy an undersized frame, remove most of the drivetrain, and lower the seat to put your feet flat on the ground.

On the other hand, were you thinking of a "kickbike"? : https://www.kickbike.com/

i saw a lady riding around the other day on a semi-similar bike to the rowbike, she was wheelchair bound but refused to give up cycling, she basically ruled.

Doing a google search is easier when "pedalless" is spelled correctly to begin with.

"pedal" = the thing you push with your feet when you pedal a bike.

"peddle" = the action of selling items, such as "peddling your wares on the street corner".

We've got a really great bike path, so i see all sorts of HPVs out there. We get handcycles, scooters, electric assists, wheelchairs...

But if you do a correctly spelled search, you'll likely come up with your answer.

Assuming that you've got a way to convert something to mechanical energy efficiently, I'm interested.

I've seen a funky bike-like contraption on the lakefront path during my commutes. It looks like a giant three wheeled scooter and is propelled by shifting/pushing the rider's weight side like rollerblading, or skiing. Damn annoying because the guy takes up the whole lane. Otherwise, it looks fun.
