So just so I know, if you have a bike that has a threaded headset and you want to change it to a threadless all that you need is a threadless fork, threadless headset, spacers, and a stem, I would not be changing from 1" to 1 1/8"

That list, plus the tools needed to correctly remove and install the pieces of the headsets.

really, the previous two times where i replaced the headset and fork (at the same time), my bike store has charged me for a star nut, interesting...

why bother? quill stems work fine and
give you a whole lot of adjustment possibilities.
They are still out there, you just have to look
around a bit.
The retrogrouch in me says that a nice quill stem
looks better than a threadless stem anyday.
