Alfine and Tuggnut

Anyone know if there is a way to run an Alfine hub with a Surly Tuggnut chain tensioner? I'll be running an Alfine on a bike with track ends and would like to use a Tuggnut for adjusting chain tension, but I don't have the hub with me to check it out yet. I'm pretty sure you can't use quick release skewers because it has a solid axel, which makes me question the Tuggnuts.
