Matching SRAM chain to Shimano cassette

I just bought a second wheelset and am picking out a cassette for it. I have my eyes on this HG-70 and the specs say to use a Shimano HG70 chain.

What SRAM chain would be compatible with this cassette? It is a 7-speed cassette... can I just get a SRAM 7-speed compatible chain and be done with it?

I prefer SRAM due to the powerlink feature... I know some people use power links with Shimano chains, but I'd prefer just to stick with SRAM.

Thanks,
Jason

Any SRAM 8-speed chain (they are all 7/8-speed but are listed as 8-speed) will work fine.

power links work fine with shimano chains.....and EVEN then your really not supposed to 'reuse' power links so...i wouldnt say its anything to 'favor' over a shimano chain

Powerlinks are only 1 use? I have undone and redone my one Powerlink at least a dozen times with no problems. I will need to keep an eye on it I guess.

Only the Powerlink on a 10-speed SRAM chains is supposed to be one-use (and even tha's debatable).

The links on 8 and 9-speed SRAM chains are certainly reusable.

I think you are thinking of the Wipperman "Connex" links, which Whipperman says are strictly one-use. AS others have said, only the SRAM 10-Speed chains are advising one-use, though I'm not sure why.

I don't think that's right either. I have a Wippermann 10-speed chain on a 10-speed Campy bike and the instruction say nothing about not reusing the Conex link.

I'm sure someone will disagree, but I think the KMC missing links are single use.
