Campagnolo QS front w/ Non QS Shifters

Anyone running this set up? I just bought NOS Chorus non QS but have a QS Front D. I'm sure it works , but does anyone have long term (miles) use with this setup. Any info would be great.

No, not at all. I asked the same thing the other day. Compact Ft Der help From what I found out after some more research that the left brifter is basically friction or micro friction. You should be able to use the der you have. Good luck

I upgraded one of my bikes from a triple w/bb to a compact double UT. Part of this involved swapping out the front der (this is a Veloce setup). All I could find were Veloce QS front ders so that's what I ended up with. The brifter is a 2005 model Veloce triple, but it adjusted to the double just fine since it's essentially a glorified friction shifter.

I've got about 2k miles on this setup. No problems.

I did Paris-Brest on that set-up. The effort to shift to the big ring is a little greater but no real dramas.

This is essentially what I was looking to do. I wanted to upgrade my Dayton 10 sp to a compact double.

Heh - my commuter is built from a Daytona 9-sp triple group I bought off Craigslist. I'm using it on an FSA compact double crank using the original Daytona front der. Works fine.
