problem shifting up front

I currently have Chorus 8 spd on my winter bike and have a pretty big problem, I think.

If I'm in the 12 in back and shift up to the 52 in front the chain goes to far and falls off the crank to the outside.

Any ideas?

Adjust the stops on the front der to keep it from overshifting. I have had similar problems with my Mirage 8spd stuff. I also try to never use the 39-12 combination, since it generally rubs anyway. I generally go to the big ring much sooner.
