    Are old aluminum forks dangerous?

Especially ones that have seen 2 trips across the country?
Does anyone have any info on recalls issued for these older forks? It's on a mid 90's miyata road bike...anyone know the fatigue life of aluminum?

Viscount forks from the '70's were recalled a long, long time ago. Don't remember hearing of other recalls/problems.
