Not enough front derailleur adjustment for compact...thoughts?
I'm trying to put a compact crank on a frame with a brazed-on front derailleur hanger (built for a standard double) and I don't have enough vertical adjustment on the braze-on.
I was using this crank (Veloce) and derailleur (105) with a clamp-on adapter on another frame and it worked just fine.
Is there another front derailleur with the bolt mounted higher? (Maybe one of the compact specific derailleurs?) or some other work around that anyone can think of? Or will I just have to go with standard double on this frame.
Thanks.

How far down do you have to go and is there enough braze on tab to file the bottom of the slot lower?
