¿can frames be straightened?

¿can frames be straightened? I bent the frame on my 1996 specialized hardrock. The bike cost $250 new, however the frame has S&S couplings installed at a cost of $500. Can it be fixed and is it worth fixing?
thanks

I would look into it, bring it to a frame builder that has experience in straightening frames.

I'm sure it can be straightened. The question is at what cost? See if there is a frame builder in your area that can give you an estimate. BTW, where were the couplers installed? Maybe the same company can repair your frame.

Bilenky Cycles in Philadelphia installed the couplings. I sent them an email a couple of days ago, havent heard nothing back. I have to make a decision tomorrow to take it on the plane or leave here in Guatemala.
