pump to what pressure with a Specialized Expedition Sport stock tires?

I have a Specialized Expedition Sport. they have wider tires. I pumped it and winged it without knowing what pressure to stop at today, i got up to the 45 mark. what is the proper pressure to stop pumping with the stock tires for this bike?

thanks

try around 90 psi.

Bikeman is probably correct. All tires have a maximum recommended pressure shown on the side of the tire. Look for the psi number. I like to run rear tires at maximum pressure and front tires about 10% lower than maximum. The rear tire carries more weight. Road bike tires need to be fully inflated before each ride. Larger tires lose air more slowly but should still be re-inflated often.

thank you

thank you both for your reply. i will look for a psi rating written on my tires to be sure. for some reason, the 45 mark on my bike pumped seemed to be pretty full. is it possible my pump is using european measurements, or perhaps even an oddball american one?

thanks
