Trek US Postal Service Carbon Frame --INFO??
This is also cross-posted on Classic & Vintage
At a local pawn shop, I found a Carbon Frame Trek w/ US Postal Service designs on frame (road frame not TT.) The color scheme is blue on predominately white frame. Components are a mix of Dura Ace and Ultegra. Overall in heavily-used/abused shape but may still be rideable or worst case, scavange parts. I might take a gamble & give them the $150.00 they are asking.
Can anyone provide info on this Bike? Year, Model, etc.? I checked the vintage trek site, but I believe this might be too new to be considered vintage. I also checked the Trek archives and nada! I realize that's not much info to go on, but I'm drawing blanks on all the searches I've done -- can't even find a picture!! So, maybe the experts can help me out w/ some info....
Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Interesting. I'm assuming you have one the USPS Team bike replicas, and you're not actually asking about a "work" bike.

Lots of images anyway, not much in the way of hard info I'm afraid, but there are a couple of pages that might be of help.

A Postal Service Bike maybe a collector's item, specially if it's the same kind Lance rode on. Too bad about the abused frame though, u will have to repaint it to original for any collector's value.
I always thought USPS was a good bike sponsor. Fast Service, get it. Discovery Channel... whaaaa?

$150 for a mix of Dura-ace and Ultegra parts? As long as they arent beat up and all function you could easily part that bike on ebay for way more money. Buy it, or tell me where it is and I will!

Couple of pals rode those bikes, I actually have a cracked frame in my garage as a wall hanger (bad mojo with a car). Great frames, early OCLV carbon. Just take the time to inspect the frame for cracks, but the parts alone are worth more than $150. I'd peg that frame around 2000/2001 vintage just off the top of my head.

Thanks for the info / help / advice.
I went to buy the bike during lunch and........ it was gone!!
That is the second deal I've missed (my own fault) in the last couple of weeks.
