Freewheel Hub Help!

I have a old mountain bike seven speed freewheel hub that needs to be replaced. I don't want to replace the entire rear shifting system so am just looking to replace the hub. Can someone PLEASE let me know where I can find such an animal these days? I'm replacing an old 36 hole American Classic.

2nd question, how do you measure the rear hub for the correct spacing?

Thanks!
