Ultegra 6402 freehub body?

The freehub body on my shimano 600/ultegra (hb-6402 8 speed) hubs is blown out, the pawls don't catch sometimes and it makes a nasty sound when coasting. I am trying to source a replacement freehub, but finding an 8 speed 6402 freehub is proving difficult, all the sites I have found that carry them are either out of stock or are based in the UK and shipping will probably be a pain.

So what I am wondering is, which freehubs are compatible with my hub? Will either of these work (lx565 or xt m737) ?

I know that I can use a 9 speed body and swap out the right side cone, but after having to track down compatible cones for an obscure old track hub, that is the last thing I want to deal with.

Any suggestions?

You should be able to use most any 8/9/10sp freehub

See here:

Any of these options should work, somebody please correct me if I'm wrong:

Not only that, I've had good luck with shipping from UK. Use air, not ground.

Get any current compatible 9/10-speed freehub body and the appropriate cones and seals that match it. Since the freehub body will be new production, the cones, etc. should be easily available and can be ordered right along with the body.

In case anyone looks up this thread, 6500 does not fit on a 6402 hub. I just tried it and the base of the freehub does not sit flush with the hub body, giving an 1/8 inch difference in spacing. Now I'm out a $40 part and my wheel is still broken.
