Moving up to CHI TOWN
Hello everybody!
I am moving to Chicago this Saturday the 13th. Having just found a good, solid bike shop here in good ol BloNo, I am not looking forward to searching for a new one. I figured I would try and see if anybody here had some suggestions for reputable shops in the Chicago area. I will be north of the down town area (uptown to be specific) but I will be willing to travel if need be. Any help will be very much appreciated! Thanks
Kyle

Performance has a retail shop in the North 2600 block of Halsted St. There are also a couple of big shops in that immediate area. A Google search on "Chicago bicycle shops" returns a lot of leads.
Licktons is on Lake St. in Oak Park, a fair bit west of Central Ave. Their retail shop is a disappointment. They stock a lot of stuff but it's all in back and the "showroom" is pretty Spartan. Also, the counter guys are knowledgeable but don't suffer fools gladly. They aren't noted for their caring and winning personalities.
