What size hex bits?
What size hex bits will I need for a torque wrench? Craftsman has a set with 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 10 mm. Will that do it?

7mm is nice for at least one make of bars, but I can't remember which one. You'll also come across 3mm and maybe smaller bolts every once 'n a while

you use 7mm for C-Record Cranks. 10mm is used for Campy's UT, older XT cranks, cannondale Si cranks, some hubs. Its a good set to have.
The craftsman set is ok, but the bits come out of the sockets and are not that hard. For occasional use, it'll be ok, but everyday use get something else. If you can afford it, get a snap-on set and it'll last you a lifetime.

you'll need a 2, 2.5, & 3 mm as well for other things like rear dérailleur hanger's bolts.

I agree with nitro about the quality vs price of the craftsman set. I went the route of buying two non-name-brand sets of better quality, but less than half the Craftsman price: one short-length and one mid-length (about 4" long) for clearance issues.

I try to only buy snap-on. Best tools I have ever used. My tool purchases are getting just as bad as my bike parts purchases

Does Snap-on use a different lifetime than Craftsman?? Those will be fine.
Snap-On,Mac,Matco,Craftsman,there all good tools. The only advantage to the trucks is that they will come to you if you need them and they have specialty tools. If I didn't need them for work,I'd shoot them on sight for robbing me for 30+ years.
Granted,Craftsman,Proto,S&K tools are not the same quality as the big buck tools,( their not $500 for 1 set of wrenches either)but for someone not using them everyday to make a living, their MUCH BETTER than the crap from China.Turned alot of wrenches and made alot of money with Craftsman stuff in my younger days.

Oh come on guys. He asked about what allen sockets he'd need for a TORQUE WRENCH! ! ! ! !
The smaller sizes certainly do not need to be bought. Two fingers and a light touch with the fingers near to the elbow on a regular allen key is fine for those. For the rest the set sounds perfectly fine.
Galtman, if you haven't given up is frustration yet then I'll add my own confusion. The smaller sizes noted in your set would be best in a 1/4 inch drive size to use on the smaller 1/4 torque wrench that is graduated in inch-lbs. The mid size at 7mm's and up would be fine on the end of a 3/8 drive torque wrench to deal with the bigger sizes that crop up now and then like pedal bolts. The 10mm will come in handy now and then when you're working on a freehub so don't pass it by.

I would personally rather spend that money on bikes and cycling gear and stick with S-K, Craftsman, and Park. Snap-On is nice though - I am in love with their racheting screwdrivers.
