Freewheel/cassete moving when wheels are turning

I have an older schwinn road bike with a couple of problems. The pedals will turn on their own if the bike is moving forwards. On the stand, I get the pedals going and if I stop them from moving, there's a lot of slack in the chain. I can put my hand on the cassete to stop it from turning, but then the rear wheel moves a lot slower. Any ideas about what's goin' on?

Freewheel needs to be taken off and the pawls need oil. Or if you don't have the freewheel tool, try spraying some wd-40 or putting oil from the front.
