pedals (eggbeaters) seem to be clicking
Hey there - last night I noticed an odd new clicking noise. I'd hear a click I think whenever my legs were vertical - so at the bottom and top of each stroke. Anyways - I first thought it was coming from my drivetrain - but listening more closely I decided it was my pedals.
I have crank brothers eggbeater SL pedals. Probably 1K miles or so on em. Is this normal and I've just never noticed it before? I'm hyper sensitive to any noises on my bike because I just did a major overhaul of it so it's very possible it's always been making that noise.

check for any play between the inner ring and outer ring of the pedal bindings.

I recently overhauled my CandyCs after a thousand miles. They were also clicking. You can go to velonews.tv and they have a video article on how to do a CrankBros overhaul. Pretty simple. If you don't feel comfortable doing it your LBS should be able to.

One other thing to consider if you rule out the pedals - aside from the BB - is the chain. You say you did 1,000 miles. When did you buy your steed a new chain?
Good luck & silent-running.

where your cleats bind to, there's the outer ring and the spring loaded inner ring.
check and see if the inner ring slides around horizontally.
