minoura mag 500 installation
Do you have to remove the rear wheel to install?
Minoura says its best to use the axel and skewer they proved. So I assume you have to substitute the axel in your wheel...??

Not the axle, just the skewer that goes through it.
Open and unscrew the original and replace it with the one supplied with the trainer. You can leave the wheel in the frame when you do this.

Possibly your axle isn't. If your rear wheel is held on with nuts, the axle is solid and you can't use any quick release skewer. If your rear wheel has a quick release skewer already, you just have to change it for the one Minoura provided.
