Loose fork on Tricross
I have a Tricross Expert and just flipped the stem before going on a short ride. I noticed that when I was breaking there was a lot of horizontal flex in the fork. I double checked that that everything was tightened down properly when I got home but when the font brakes were applied there was still a lot of play in the movement of the fork.
Is a certain about of play normal or is there something that I missed when I flipped the stem?

You Know!? For Kids!
Did you remove any spacers?
Did you make sure the stem pinch bolts were loose while preloading the bearings with the top cap bolt?
Play is not normal. Here is Park's drill.

As jsharr said, you have to loosen the stem bolts off, then tighten the top cap just until its snug. Put the front brakes on and rock it back and forth to make sure the play is gone, then tighten up the stem bolts again.

Ah...that did the trick. Big thanks for both of you! I did even realize that I had reversed the order when putting it back together.
