Freehub not catching immediately on load?
Okay I'm trying to isolate an issue. I get some clunking sometimes after freewheeling. At first I thought it was the cassette but I see no bend teeth or nicks. I was thinkin that it could be the pawls in the freehub not catching once load is applied. It will skip, like a chain trying to seat, then catch. Am I able to remove the freehub and check for problems? Is a freehub rebuildable? I have DA Scandium 7850 wheelset so I would be very surprised if the freehub were bad.

I think that you have the problem isolated. Yes the free hub is removable. You need to remove the axle and then use an 11mm alen wrench to remove the free hub body. Not really rebuilt able just get a new one.

+1 on that. The dern springs that hold the pawls extended are so thin and tiny inside that they really don't take much to screw up.
I've fixed alot of freewheels in this fashion, and have noticed the drop in quality. I can only assume cassettes are just as bad.
